Technology Research Director at the National Research Council of Italy, which he joined in 1984. he holds a Laurea in Electronic Engineering from the University of Rome, 1983, and a Master of Science degree in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management, 1990. Since 1998, he has been associated with the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he has taught Applied Economics in the undergraduate program in Engineering, and Strategic Management and Management of Innovation in the master's program in Management. Currently, he teaches Management of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the undergraduate program in Engineering. His research interests focus on research evaluation and technology transfer. He is associate editor of the Journal of Economic Surveys, and member of the editorial boards of Scientometrics and the Journal of Informetrics. He has working experience in the US, has acted as a consultant to the European Union, the United Nations, and a number of national and local government institutions and multinational corporations. He served as a member of the Evaluation Committees of the Universities of Pavia, Sassari, and Udine; and as Italian national contact point of the EU Erawatch Program. Currently he is member of the Committee of the PhD program in Management at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata"; and member of the Evaluation Committee of Anton Dohrn Zoological Station. In 2006, he founded Research Value s.r.l., a CNR spin-off company in the business of research evaluation, of which he is President and CEO.
MD in Mechanical Engineering and PhD in Engineering and Management, he's associate professor at the Dept of Engineering and Management of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" where he teaches "Introduction to Marketing" and "Industrial Marketing". He is in the Board of Directors of Research Value (a CNR spin-off company), Radio6Sense and Operations Management Team (two spin-off companies of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata"). Research Associate at the Institute for System Analysis and Computer Science of the Italian National Research Council (IASI-CNR) and member of the Evaluation Committee of the University of Udine.
PhD and Master degrees in Management and Engineering from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata"; Laurea in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rome "La Sapienza". Currently, she is research assistant at the Lab. Her main research fields are scientometrics and research evaluation.
Graduated with honors (2015) in "Management of High Technologies", from the School of "Innovative Technologies", Moscow State University of Railway Engineering. Within the Erasmus Mundus program, in the academic year 2012-2013 she attended the Master's program in Economics at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". Since 2015, she has been a PhD student in Management and Engineering at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata".
Cristiano Giuffrida is assistant professor in Systems Security and Reliability at VU Amsterdam in the Computer Systems Section of the Department of Computer Science. His research interests include operating systems, systems security, and systems reliability. Giuffrida received a MEng from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" and a PhD in Computer Science from the VU University Amsterdam in 2014, under the supervision of Prof. Andrew S. Tanenbaum. He was awarded the Roger Needham Award at EuroSys for the best PhD thesis in Computer Systems in Europe and the Dennis M. Ritchie Award at SOSP for the best PhD thesis in Computer Systems worldwide in 2015.
Fulvio Viel graduated in Engineering and Management at University of Rome "Tor Vergata" in 2002, where he holds the Master degree in Business Engineering in 2009. Since 2002, he Joined the Regional Government of Lazio, delivering infomation systems. As consultant, he joined the National Research Council of Italy applying Project Management to complex training projects. He is interested in Project Management for Information Systems. PhD in Management Engineering at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" in 2012, his main research interests are on bibliometric methodologies for research evaluation.
Cicero graduated cum laude in Statistics from the University of Messina in 2008,
earned a Master of Science degree in 2011 and a PhD degree in 2012 in Business

ANVUR, the Italian Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research. His

After graduating (summa cum laude) in Electronic Engineering at University of Ancona (now Marche Polytechnic University) in 2001, he achieved the Master degree in Business Engineering at University of Rome "Tor Vergata" in 2005. At the Laboratory for Studies on Research and Technology Transfert of that same university he successfully concluded a PhD program in Management Engineering in 2010. His main research fields were university-industry collaborations, bibliometrics and IP (Intellectual Property) Strategy. Since 2002 he has been working in the management and high tech engineering consulting, before in Altran Italia SpA as Senior Consultant and since 2009 in Next Ingegneria dei Sistemi SpA as Project Manager.
Alessandro Caprasecca graduated in mechanical engineering at University of Roma Tre in 2003, achieved a Master degree in Management (2004) and a Ph.D. in Engineering and Management (2008) at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata". As a Ph.D. student he has been member of the Laboratory for Studies on Research and Technology Transfer, where he worked on evaluation of public research institutions and the analysis of drivers of scientific performance. He is currently engaged at Italian Custom Agency.
