General Info

IASI (the Institute for Systems Analysis and Computer Science) is one of the 108 institutes of CNR, the Italian National Research Council (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche), which is the main Italian public research organization.

It is named after its founder Antonio Ruberti.

The Institute was established in 1969 with the name "Centro di Studio dei Sistemi di Controllo e Calcolo Automatici" and became "Istituto di Analisi dei Sistemi ed Informatica" in 1980. Finally, in 2002 it was given the current name, after merging with "Centro di Fisiopatologia dello Schock", another branch of CNR.

The Director of the Institute is Dr. Paola Bertolazzi, appointed on December 1st, 2009.

The Institute has two sites in Rome and a Reseach Unit in Tuscany, hosted by the Math Department of the University of Florence.
