Scheduling tasks with sequence dependent processing times.

ABSTRACT

In this paper the problem of minimizing the makespan of a sequence of n jobs with nonzero ready times and sequence dependent processing times is considered. A branch and bound algorithm, using as a lower bound a lagrangean relaxation of a PLI formulation, is proposed. Moreover, a dominance criterion is proposed to reduce the size of the enumeration tree. Finally, computational results are presented.
