As a neuroscientist, I am studying the features and mechanisms of neurodegeneration and neuroinflammation evoked during central nervous system diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and multiple sclerosis. By performing preclinical pharmacological analysis in primary ex vivo cultures and in vitro cell lines, moreover in Drosophila and mice models, my key goal is to develop new effective therapeutic strategies against these devastating diseases.
