IASI – Institute for System Analysis and Computer Science (Istituto di Analisi dei Sistemi ed Informatica) –  is one among the 88 Research Institutes of CNR, being part of the Department of Engineering, ICT, Energy, and Transportation (DIITET).

IASI was founded in 1980, stemming from a Research Center created in 1969 by CNR and University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
In 2002, the CNR Center for Shock Physiopathology hosted at the Gemelli Hospital in Rome joined the Institute, fertilizing inter-disciplinary research at the forefront in  medicine and mathematics. In that occasion, the Institute was dedicated to the memory of its founder, being renamed:Istituto di Analisi dei Sistemi ed Informatica “Antonio Ruberti”.

By enrolling prominent scientists since its kick off, IASI has contributed to the flourishing of several disciplines that have shaped science and society in Italy through the years.

Appointed on May 1 2022, Giovanni Felici is current Director at IASI , assisted by IASI Council members (Consiglio di Istituto).
